Why Farmers Should Care about Precision Agriculture?

Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference: Turning Precision Agriculture Potential into Profits, February 2 & 3, 2016, London, Ontario, Canada

Ryan Marshall, a seventh generation farmer in Milton, believes that one day, precision agriculture will be so refined that each of the plants in his crop will be analyzed and fed water and nutrients that are specific for its needs. He believes it is less wasteful and more cost efficient to undertake precision agriculture activities. Marshall is a frequent agriculture speaker, and was a presenter at the 2015 Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference.

Wondering what is planned for the 2016 Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference? The theme for the 2016 Farms.com Precision Agriculture conference is “Turning Precision Agriculture Potential into Profits”. Back by popular demand at the 2016 conference will be precision agriculture expert Lisa Prassack of Prassack Advisors out of Boulder, Colorado.

The 2016 Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conference and Tech Show will be held February 2 & 3, 2016 at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn and Conference Centre in London, Ontario. The 2016 Conference format has been adapted slightly to give more time for quality speakers, so the conference will kick-off at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2. Conference organizers have also taken over more space to accommodate a larger trade show and more breakout sessions.

“Investments into high-tech farming equipment can be high,” says Farms.com Executive Vice President Joe Dales. “But it’s not just about the gadgets, it’s about turning the potential of properly executing precision agriculture techniques and turning that hard work into future profits. That’s why this 2016 Precision Agriculture Conference is so important.”
